For the past four years, Dave Edwards has directed very successful Residential Summer Soccer Camps at Blue Ridge School www.blueridgeschool.com. Dave attracts the very best staff and safety and welfare of campers remains the number one priority at all times.
Our Training Philosophy and Curricula
Our training philosophy promotes a positive, disciplined environment where players are able to work hard, express themselves and maximize development.
Team Training -
We will liaise with the team coach before camp and focus on areas of the game
tailored to the needs of the team.
Individual Training – Individuals will be placed in age and ability appropriate groups where they will follow our carefully written training curriculum. Topics covered include possession, receiving under pressure, small group defending and goal scoring.
GK Training – GK’s will follow a high quality program of technical and tactical training, led by our professional GK coaches.
Company Profile
STAR Consultancy International, Inc. is the company founded by Dave Edwards and his wife, Dr. Michelle Walters-Edwards. “STAR” represents Sports, Training And Rehabilitation. The company was formed in 2004 and offers a range of sports coaching, health & fitness and sports medicine services.
Dr. Michelle Walters-Edwards is a Professor of Health Sciences at Marymount University and has a specialization in ACL injury in female soccer players. She is currently involved with a variety of neuromuscular research projects with the National Institutes of Health in MD and also coaches swimming to young children.
Dave Edwards
is the Director of Coaching (Travel) for Loudoun Soccer in Loudoun County, VA
and is also the VA State Technical Coordinator for the National Soccer Coaches
Association of America (NSCAA). He is a former college, ODP and high school
varsity coach. Dave has a BSc in Sports Science, a HND in Sports Science &
Sports Injuries and an International Masters Diploma in Sports Therapy.
